The HBFI SME Hub is a dedicated resource for SME residential developers across Ireland. It brings together guidance, tools and direct access to our team, whether you are seeking development finance for the first time or progressing an established pipeline.
HBFI operates a locally based, relationship‑led model, with an experienced regional team supporting SME developers across the country.
To assist SME builders delivering schemes of less than 10 units, a number of initiatives have been introduced to enhance the funding process, including streamlined due‑diligence requirements and reduced monitoring surveyor fees for qualifying loans, subject to eligibility.

HBFI’s Business Development Team is made up of four regionally based team members located across the country, each with strong local market knowledge.
The team work closely with SME developers at every stage of the funding journey; from initial enquiry and site visit, through application completion, approval and drawdown.

HBFI has introduced a streamlined loan agreement specifically for SME customers.
The agreement has been designed for ease of use, providing clear guidance on key commercial terms to help borrowers move through the process quickly.
It also includes a practical reference guide to support navigation of the document and make it easier to locate relevant provisions.
Together, these enhancements are intended to provide SME borrowers with a more transparent, straightforward and efficient lending experience.
One of HBFI's new initiatives specifically supports eligible SME builders by contributing towards project monitoring costs on smaller schemes, including covering 50% of monitoring surveyor fees for qualifying developments of up to 10 units, subject to an overall cap of €10,000.
